Third Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Brooke's third birthday. This was the best 3 year old birthday party we've ever been to, it was also the first one Kim and I had ever been to. But seriously, it was awesome. Having the party at a kid friendly gym allowed the plethora of children under 4 to go nuts, run around, jump around and make a mess without having to be too responsible. 

Something is telling me we'll be doing something like this in the future. 

Winter Fun

As the winter has come, lots of free time has disappeared along with the sun light. With basketball practice and games to MJ learning how to move and Jackie learning that hand are not for hitting, it has been quite the hectic month.

I'd have this winter no other way. With all of the running around, it makes the down time feel so much more rewarding. Some of the time spent relaxing I've been able to see my little ones with such a different light. They are happy being happy. Not that that is unusual for children under two, but it has given me so much needed perspective. I need to be more like the two of them. I am going to be happy to be happy even at thirty.

Today was one of those days. I was happy being in the fresh air after surviving the Blizzard of 2016. In the Bay State we were spared from the worst of the storm but that didn't mean there would be no celebration. In fact, I was celebrating in the snow with Jackie. What fun we had!
